SLATE VOTE FOR WAUKEE DISTRICT PTO - Thursday APRIL 3rd

The Waukee Community School District Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is looking for volunteers to fill various leadership positions:

-         Vice Presidents for South MS, Prairieview, & High School

-         District Membership

All district positions are elected positions. The election will take place on Thurs., April 3 from 7-8 pm at the Waukee Public Library. The public is encouraged to come out and vote! Any person who has a student in attendance at a Waukee School may cast their vote for any of the District positions. For school positions, voting is allowed if you have a student at that specific school.

The Waukee Board of Education is calling for a special election to fund construction of a new elementary school at the intersection of Dartmoor and Douglas Parkway in Waukee.

We need your help. Please mark your calendars to vote “yes” on February 4, 2014.  It is critical to vote “yes” now to create more classroom space to accommodate the rapid growth and avoid overcrowded buildings. This vote does not raise taxes.

The polling locations are at:

- District Office 560 SE University Ave., Waukee 

- St. Francis of Assisi Church, 7075 Ashworth Rd., West Des Moines
